David Orlean serves as President of The Orlean Company and Vice President of ABC Management, overseeing the overall direction and integration of all affiliated entities under Orlean Enterprises. A licensed attorney and real estate professional, David brings more than four decades of leadership across real estate development, property management, finance, and legal strategy.
David began his career as a prosecuting attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice before transitioning to the family business in 1981. Since then, he has been instrumental in expanding the company’s footprint across multifamily housing, senior living, commercial development, and HUD-assisted projects.

Ken Lurie is Chief Operating Officer of Orlean Enterprises, where he directs real estate development, construction, and property management operations. Since joining the firm in 2009, Ken has played a pivotal role in growing the company’s portfolio through transformative development projects and strategic management initiatives.
A seasoned real estate executive and urban redevelopment leader, Ken has led the development of housing, retail centers, hospitality projects, and senior living communities across Northeast Ohio. He is especially recognized for his pioneering work in urban infill and mixed-use redevelopment.

Abel-Bishop and Clarke Realty Co. (ABC Management) is founded as the property management arm of the business, managing Orlean’s growing residential portfolio.
The Orlean Company begins developing major single-family subdivisions throughout Northern Ohio.
Arthur partners with Ralph Cortel to develop a series of market-rate multifamily communities in Cleveland, including the Acadian, Arlen, Ashby, Abashire, and Avalon Apartments.
Arthur pioneers Orlean’s entry into affordable housing with the development of Oakwood Apartments in Lorain, OH. This marks the beginning of Orlean’s long-standing partnership with HUD, ultimately developing over 4,000 HUD-insured units under Section 8, 236, BMIR, 202, 221(d)(3), and 221(d)(4) programs — including third-party turnkey projects like those for the Housing Authority of Olean, NY.
David Orlean joins the company full-time, working alongside his father, Arthur. He would later become President of The Orlean Company and Vice President of ABC Management.
The Orlean Company acquires The Normandy Apartments and transforms it into a Class-A senior living campus, eventually adding the Normandy Care Center, a skilled nursing facility.
The Orlean Company serves as developer and minority partner in the Hilton Garden Inn at Cleveland Airport, marking its first participation in a hotel project.
